Multi-Link Operations and Issues Training (Advanced)

Multi-Link Operations and Issues Training (Advanced) Course Description

In these days of multi-national coalition operations, it is very unusual to operate Tactical Data Links (TDLs) in isolation. Instead multi-link architectures have become the usual operating scenario. Based on established techniques, this Multi-Link Operations and Issues Training Advanced Course course will guide the user through the complexities of planning and procedures, with other issues and considerations that are required to carry out successful multi-link operations.

The Multi-Link Operations and Issues Training Advanced Course can be adjusted to include those TDLs of interest to the attendee, for example Link 11, 16, 22, Variable Message Format (VMF) and Joint Range Extension (JRE). Data forwarding is also included as a subject in its own right. Although available as a separate subject, the OPTASK LINK may also be included. The Data Link Training Suite (DLTS) may be used to demonstrate Link 11 and 16 including forwarding plus JRE. The DIGINEXT TACTX tool may also be utilised to allow for demonstrations of specific message transfer.
