Citrix® MetaFrame XP™ Presentation Server extends Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Server and Windows Server™ 2003, providing the most comprehensive access infrastructure for deploying and managing any custom or packaged Windows application.
This course provides the necessary foundation to fully utilize the power of Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server. This course covers installation and administration of Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server and Citrix ICA® clients in a variety of network
environments. Learners receive in-depth training on using the management console for MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, configuring a MetaFrame XP Presentation Server farm and individual server settings, managing licensing and administering MetaFrame XP Presentation Servers. Certification Preparation:
Citrix blended training course CTX-1222BB prepares candidates for exam 222 Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, Feature Release 3: Administrator. Exam 222 is the core exam required for certification as a Citrix Certified Administrator™ (CCA) for MetaFrame XP Presentation Server.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, learners are able to:
o Install Citrix® MetaFrame XP™ Presentation Server and Citrix ICA® clients in a variety of network
environments
o Recognize Citrix technologies, including Independent Computing Architecture (ICA), Independent
Management Architecture (IMA), client device licensing and SpeedScreen™ latency reduction
o Identify the features and functions of the management console for MetaFrame XP Presentation
Server
o Configure a MetaFrame XP Presentation Server farm and individual server settings
o Manage licenses and administer MetaFrame XP Presentation Servers
o Shadow users and configure SpeedScreen latency reduction and new ICA connections
