Audience
Network engineers responsible for configuring, implementing, troubleshooting, and managing medium-to-large routed networks in an enterprise or service provider environment; network architects responsible for designing networks that support multiple routing protocol types; CCNP, CCDP, and CCIP candidates; CCIE routing and switching candidates
Prerequisites
A good understanding of networking terms, topologies, and the OSI reference model; familiarity with TCP/IP and configuring IP address schemes, including subnetting and variable-length subnet masking (VLSM); experience of operating and configuring Cisco routers for general use and configuring basic routing protocol implementations
Course Aim
This path instructs network administrators of medium-to-large network sites on the use of advanced IP addressing and routing in implementing scalability for Cisco routers connected to LANs and WANs. The goal is to train network administrators to dramatically increase the number of routers and sites using these techniques instead of redesigning the network when additional sites or wiring configurations are added. It is an online, self-guided series designed to correlate to Cisco's own instructor led course BSCI 2.0. BSCI is part of the recommended training path for those students seeking the Cisco CCNP, CCDP, CCIP, and CCIE certifications.
