ISUP and LNP Training Overview

Introduction

The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of how call setup and Number Portability is accomplished using the SS7 protocol in the Common Channel Signaling (CCS) network. The SS7 Protocol is used to set up voice paths, and query databases to make services work. The CCS network is used to pass information between the nodes and applications in the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). This course provides an understanding of the CCS node functions, link designations, network architectures, message flows and message structure.

Exercises are provided throughout the course, re-enforcing a practical understanding of the material. ENO will provide each student with a high-quality workbook and all of the necessary supplies
