Introduction:

This overview course describes the motivations, timescales and goals of LTE as well as identifying the technical features of UMTS that will change to support LTE. This includes, notably, the core network which has its own evolution plan, SAE, System Architecture Evolution. New or changed areas described include the use of MIMO antenna systems, OFDM-based multiple access as well as the architectural changes necessary from UMTS to support SAE. The difference between 4G and LTE is explored.

Audience:

The orientation of the course is such that it is suited to:

  • Non-specialists
  • Technical radio-oriented planners
  • Architects

Such delegates would be employed or contracted to:

  • Operators,
  • Manufacturers,
  • Integrators or
  • Regulators.

Prerequisites:

The course assumes some top-level familiarity with existing UMTS systems but no specific RF expertise is required

Customize it:

This 3-4-day LTE and 4G - Technical Overview course will be customized to your needs and specifications. Eno.com will assist you in identifying those needs and specifications. A word to the wise, there are many vendors of Wireless training. They will typically have a broad and general course, one size fits all, already developed and just put your organization?s name on the title slide. This minimizes their effort and time investment. At Eno.com, every course is made to your exact and exacting specifications. We help you ensure what you are getting is what you really need even if at the beginning you weren't too sure of what that was. We fit the class to your needs.
