| Nearly every working man and woman in the United States comes under OSHA's (Occupational Safety
and Health Act) jurisdiction with some exceptions such as miners, transportation workers, many public employees,
and the self-employed. Other users and recipients of OSHA services include: occupational safety and health professionals,
the academic community, lawyers, journalists, and personnel of other government entities. The Safety and Health
Curriculum is designed to educate and arm private sector personnel with the necessary information and tools to
manage the work environment safely and in compliance with OSHA standards. |
