Prerequisites

Ariba Buyer 8.x Features and Functions training (or equivalent experience as end user with the catalog UI and requisitioning process.) Experience with XML or SGML. Programming experience in an OO language, such as C++ or Java recommended.

Course Aim

This course discusses the Ariba Buyer object model and the tools and techniques used to extend it. Key classes that comprise the object model are discussed, as well as how to view the structure of and data within the object model using the Inspector tool. The tools and techniques for UI customization are covered and there is plentiful hands-on experience modifying the appearance of the Ariba Buyer User Interface. This course lays the foundation for all customization work in Ariba Buyer.
