Course Aim

To describe the creation and maintenance of rollback segments and to introduce the use and configuration of National Language Support (NLS)

Learning Objectives

Define the number and size of rollback segments for a database. Create rollback segments using the appropriate storage settings. Monitor and troubleshoot rollback segment problems. Choose the character set and national character set for a database. Specify language-dependent behaviour using initialization parameters, environment variables, and the ALTER SESSION command. Obtain information about NLS usage.
