To present a brief history of the labor movement, and introduce the learner to developments in labor law
Learning Objectives
Name and describe the elements of the labor relations process. Identify the participants in the labor relations process. Describe the influences on the labor relations process. Chart the course of labor history from 1869 to World War I. Chart the course of labor history between the world wars. Discuss developments in labor history since World War II. Discuss the origins of labor law. Describe the provisions of National Labor Relations Act. Explain how the National Labor Relations Board is administered. Outline the main points of transportation-related labor law, and the relevance of other labor legislation.
