Java Certified Enterprise Developer - Complete Curriculum

To qualify as a Certified Enterprise Developer, the candidate must pass 2 exams. The candidate must have recieved designation as Certified Solution Developer from a participating vendor. The candidate must show competency in enterprise connectivity with java technology and enterprise development with an application server. The jCert Enterprise Developer designs, creates and maintains Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) components which include Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs) and JavaServer Pages (JSPs), deploys and configures these components, and supports the development of application clients that access them.

This developer works with business analysts, application architects, application assemblers, and administrators to develop distributed enterprise software components that model an organization's practices, processes, and concepts. This developer understands application assembly of EJBs as well as other specific enterprise software components within the business domain across a multi-tier architecture. This developer has the system administration skills required to tune the application to meet performance requirements.
