Cisco Certified Design Professionals (CCDPs) design complex routed LAN, routed WAN, and switched LAN networks. The focus of this certification is to enable candidates to develop the hierarchical network design skills that enable them to know when, where, and how to employ routers and LAN switches, along with the appropriate design methods that relate to their company's particular needs. CCNAs, CCNPs, and CCIEs wanting to move to a design role and CCDAs who want to progress in their careers are the types of people pursuing this certification. Prerequisites: Prior to beginning the CCDP certification program, learners should have valid CCNA and CCDA certification or have equivalent knowledge. Students with Cisco Certified Network Professional ( CCNP ) or equivalent level of knowledge and experience will probably have the advantage of being able to participate more actively in classroom discussions
