Anyone involved in designing or implementing interfaces for web-based applications, including software project managers, programmers, analysts and designers, technical writers, web publishers, and web site developers

Prerequisites

The course GUI Design Fundamentals would be useful, otherwise a basic understanding of Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) would be required

To teach the principles of effective GUI design for web-based applications

Explain the principles of web page and web site design. Differentiate between an effective and an ineffective web interface. Know when to choose color, graphics, audio, and animation, and when not to. Develop effective navigation through a web site. Discuss the use of databases and emerging Internet technologies for web page design
